Countertop Care Taking care of your countertops will help keep them beautiful. Below we have outlined how to maintain the luster of your investment. Laminate Clean laminate countertops using a damp cloth or sponge with a mild non-abrasive detergent. Then rinse thoroughly and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Polish and protect your laminate countertops using a soft cloth and Magic® countertop Magic®. Spray product onto the soft cloth and wipe a small area of the countertop surface. Buff dry with a fresh cloth. Cultured Marble Gloss Finish - Clean with a mild detergent, glass cleaner or foam cleanser. Car wax may be used as a coating to ease cleaning. For stubborn stains use nail polish remover on a cotton ball to remove the stain then thoroughly rinse with soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads. Satin Finish - Same as gloss finish for routine dirt. For stubborn spots, mild abrasive cleaners may be used. Use 600 grit wet sandpaper for very stubborn stains. Solid Surface Solid surface countertops are non-porous so they can be easily cleaned using a damp soft cloth. For more heavily soiled or stained areas try a mild dish soap and water then towel dry the surface. For removing minor knife cuts and superficial scratches, first carefully sand lightly with 180 grit sandpaper. Wipe clean, then rub lightly with 220 grit sandpaper. Wipe clean. Follow up with Bon Ami® cleaner and a white nylon pad rubbing in a circular motion to restore the finish. Then, apply Protect All's® "Shine Plus." Deep gouges, cuts and chips may require the assistance of your fabricator or dealer. Granite Quartz
